I wrote code on Unix before software became ‘a product’. As a staunch advocate of open knowledge and open source, I believe that open formats must form the foundation and that software should be disseminated from the grassroots up, supporting individuals in its use. Not forgetting: ‘Public money, public code!’

Emiliano is a senior system administrator, employed in a small company based in Bergamo, in the North of Italy, with its core business in providing ICT services for SMB companies.

In the last few years, he was involved in FOSS advocacy also inside schools, founding and leading the LibreSchool Project with a group of friends and colleagues from his LUG. He's also maintaining the pipeline and scripts to build the AppImage version of LibreOffice.

Florian has been a free and open source enthusiast since 2004. He works for The Document Foundation, the nonprofit behind LibreOffice and previously volunteered in marketing and infrastructure. As a student, he designed educational computer systems for schools, including software deployment based on free software and was a frequent contributor to a variety of professional magazines worldwide on topics such as free software, open standards and legal matters. A proud uncle, he loves to spend time with the family and occasionally blogs about various topics, including community building, free and open source software and computer networks. Based around Munich, he helped to create the local open source meetings and shaped the tasty idea of open source cooking.

Koji Annoura is a Knowledge Graph architect and open-source community leader based in Japan.

He works with graph technologies, structured knowledge, open standards, and AI systems. His recent interests include Knowledge Graphs, GraphRAG, Neo4j, Cypher, GQL, SQL/PGQ, and how reliable knowledge can be maintained in open and traceable formats.

Koji co-founded the Neo4j Users Group Tokyo in 2013 and founded the Apache Hop User Group Japan in 2021. He has organized more than 50 technical community events and has spoken at international open-source conferences including FOSSASIA, COSCUP, and LibreOffice Conference.

Michael is a Christian and enthusiastic Open Source developer. As CEO of Collabora Productivity overseeing an extremely talented team developing Collabora Online, and supporting our customers alongside the community. He has served as a director of The Document Foundation and has contributed to both ODF and OOXML standardization. Prior to Collabora he gained a wide experience as a Novell/SUSE Distinguished Engineer working on various pieces of Free Software infrastructure across the Linux stack.

the team at The Document Foundation as a LibreOffice developer with primary focus on accessibility.

I have been working in Information Technology for more than 25 years, I have focused not only on building and maintaining reliable systems, but also on promoting the values of Free Software, open standards, transparency, and digital freedom.

I am part of Devol, a volunteer-driven collective that provides free access to a wide range of federated and open-source services, where I help manage and maintain the infrastructure. As an active member of the Prato Linux User Group (PLUG), I contribute to the promotion of Linux, Free Software, and digital rights through community initiatives and local events. Mihail is a software engineer based in the UK, specialising in Python and agentic AI. He is the developer of LibreThinker, a free AI assistant extension for LibreOffice Writer with over 18,000 downloads. He also created ForecastSheets, an extension for Google Sheets that generates time-series forecasts and has been used by more than 3,000 people.

My name is Nawindah, I am a Lecturer at Budi Luhur University. The courses I teach are Analysis and Design Algorithm, Software project management. The product of my community service is the "Smart Senyum" mental health early detection application. My research area is mental health and Fuzzy Logic.

Neil is a new recruit working at TDF in the scripting role since March 2026. Before that he has been contributing code to LibreOffice by fixing bugs that spike his interest. In his spare time he also contributes to the Esperanto translation.

Graduated in 1998 with a degree in Computer Engineering from Padua, he began working on one of his first passions, Computational Linguistics, at EURAC Research and then at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering of the Free University of Bolzano. In 2008 he left research and joined the IT Division of the Province of Bolzano, where he worked for the Office of Strategic Orientation and IT Planning in the Enterprise Architecture Group. In 2016 he was appointed to the Directorate of Italian Education and Training as Technical Inspector and Coordinator of the FUSS Project. He began exploring the world of Free Software in the 1990s while studying at the University of Padua. After returning to Bolzano, together with some friends he helped found the Linux User Group Bolzano–Bozen–Bulsan (LUGBZ) with the aim of promoting Free Software culture in South Tyrol–Alto Adige.

Pranam works with Collabora to develop Collabora Online and LibreOffice technology. He maintains one of the Boost C++ libraries called GIL (Generic Image Library). So far, all the work Pranam has done is open-sourced. He is also a part of the Membership Committee at the Document Foundation.

Ramona has been working for over 10 years in the field of social and digital inclusion within the context of higher education. In her current project, 'Digital Accessibility in Working Life through Participatory Evaluation', she collaborates with software developers to make open source software accessible in the long term. As part of this, she designs further trainings and continuing education programs for and with developers to ensure that accessibility requirements are considered from the very beginning of the software development process and thus implemented sustainably.

In her private life, she is active in NGOs focused on education, data privacy, and FOSS within the Chaos Computer Club (CCC) environment, and is also in regular exchange with various open source communities.

Rivendy Cornelio Pratama or usually called Vendy is an Informatics Engineering student with a deep interest in software architecture, Linux ecosystems, and C++/Python development. While claiming no artistic talent for visual UI design, they are highly passionate about UX logic, structure, and finding ways to make open-source desktop software more intuitive. Driven by a belief in digital sovereignty and a desire to reduce global overdependence on proprietary big-tech ecosystems, Vendy focuses on projects that empower users to control their own digital environments. When not brainstorming modular desktop layouts or diving into code, they can usually be found exploring the depths of the internet, keeping a close eye on tech trends.

I am Rohan Singh, a mechanical engineer based in Berlin with a background in sustainable mobility and automotive management. I have always been drawn to systems: how they work, why they fail, and how small improvements can make them better.

My journey with LibreOffice began while I was writing my master’s thesis. I used LibreOffice on macOS for my academic work, and during that time, I ran into a number of bugs and usability issues. At first, they were just problems I had to work around. Over time, they made me curious about what was happening behind the scenes and how an open-source project like LibreOffice handles real user issues.

That curiosity brought me to the LibreOffice Conference in Budapest last year. Meeting the community there changed how I saw the project. It was no longer just a tool I used; it became a place where I could learn, ask questions, and contribute. After the conference, I started exploring macOS-related issues, learning how to navigate the codebase, and contributing C++ patches.

I come from mechanical engineering rather than a traditional software background, and that shapes the way I contribute. I like breaking complex problems down, understanding the root cause, and improving things step by step. For me, contributing to LibreOffice is a way to keep learning while giving something back to a tool that supported my own academic journey.

I am especially interested in open-source collaboration, macOS usability and reliability, sustainable mobility, and making technical communities more welcoming to people from different backgrounds.

Shinji Enoki is a member of the LibreOffice Japanese Team and a member of the Membership Committee. He focuses on organizing events and supporting community activities. He occasionally responds to questions on Ask and contributes translations, while quality assurance efforts are done even less frequently.

He is also active in other communities, serving as a staff member of the Wikimedians of Japan User Group, an organizing member of the Nextcloud Japan community, and a volunteer staff member for the Japan UNIX Society and Kansai Open Forum (KOF), among others.

Sibro Abdurrahman is an undergraduate Computer Science student with research interests in Data Mining, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence. His work focuses on text mining, sentiment analysis, and machine learning applications. Thorsten is a Collabora hacker and a standards wonk. During his now 25 years of tenure with the code base, he's spent most of his time hacking the code in areas ranging from build system, platform abstraction libraries, Impress and Writer.

Thorsten's a computer scientist by education, and a Free Software enthusiast by heart, a geek from early childhood - and someone who was lucky enough to turn a hobby into an occupation. After first working for Sun Microsystems on the former OpenOffice.org project, he then went with a number of others founding The Document Foundation and LibreOffice.

He's merged his company in 2025 with Collabora Productivity, for extra oomph in helping customers migrate to digital sovereign open source software. For that, his day job now includes substantial amounts of project management and customer interactions, but that does not prevent him from still messing with the code occasionally.

I started translating LibreOffice to Finnish in 2019, working to raise the quality bar and have since taken interest in improving the original English text as well. My academic background is in human-computer interaction, which informs a lot of my thinking, but I've never felt the need to limit myself to one discipline only.

Vissarion is a software engineer and research scientist currently working on LibreOffice Base at The Document Foundation. He has contributed to open-source projects including MySQL and the Boost C++ Libraries, while mentoring students through Google Summer of Code and graduate research programs.
