This presentation will introduce the concept of Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) and its significance in open source projects, with a focus on LibreOffice. It will explain how SBOMs enhance software transparency, security, and compliance by providing a detailed inventory of all components and dependencies. The session will cover the tools and formats used to generate SBOM for LibreOffice, and how these are integrated into the build and release processes.
I joined the OpenOffice.org project in 2002, starting with Hungarian localization. In 2010 LibreOffice was born and I have been working on it since then. In 2011 I was hired by SUSE, then I continued in Collabora from 2013 as a full-time contractor.
