DESCRIPTION:The history of Free Software in the French public administratio
n can be told by drawing a timeline that we can call “From LibreOffice t
o La Suite”. Back in the 2000s\, some pioneers in the French administrat
ion experimented with StarOffice\, then OpenOffice\, then convinced their
hierarchy to deploy OpenOffice/LibreOffice massively\, even publishing an
official build adapted to the needs of French ministries. The free softwar
e policy was then reinforced in various ways\, two of which were the launc
h of the BlueHats movement in 2018 and the creation of an Open Source Prog
ramme Office in 2021. Now DINUM is focusing on putting open source at the
heart of “La Suite”\, its digital workplace for civil servants\, worki
ng closely with other European member states such as Germany. Of course\,
history is not linear and new things do not completely replace old ones: w
here are we now? Who is using LibreOffice? Who is using La Suite? How do t
hese two stories fit into the larger story of Free Software in the French
 public sector?

 en-source contributors\, navigating supply chain distribution\, marketing
 open-source solutions\, software licensing\, engineering robust software\,
and ensuring long-term project maintenance. This presentation will share
the lessons we've learned and how they have shaped our approach to cyberse

n data retrieval systems\, enabling the search of high-dimensional data by
analyzing the similarity between vectors. Users can perform advanced sear

DESCRIPTION:We present Metamorphic Security Testing (MST)\, a testing autom
ation approach that integrates test input generation strategies inspired b
y mutational fuzzing and automatically detects vulnerabilities by verifyin
g general relations that should always hold between the outputs produced w
ith valid and mutated inputs. It enables engineers to specify metamorphic
relations (MRs) that capture how to modify a valid input as an attacker wo
uld do and specify the relation between the outputs of the valid and modif
ied input. We developed a framework that integrates an Eclipse plugin to s
pecify MRs and automatically tests the system. Further\, we defined a cata
logue of 76 system-agnostic MRs for Web systems that can discover 45% of t
he vulnerability types concerning the violations of MITRE security design
principles. Our empirical results show that MST can detect 85% of the vuln
erabilities in Joomla and Jenkins with few false alarms. Ongoing research
includes the automated generation of MRs from specification documents by l
 everaging large language models.

DESCRIPTION:The Luxembourg Centre for Educational Testing (LUCET) seeks to
determine if Luxembourg schools are achieving their educational goals. Thi

academic performance and teaching quality. The online assessment system fo
r these tests is delivered on a SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) cluste

the prerequisites and LibreOffice source code can speed up the build proce

DESCRIPTION:LibreOffice was always capable of hosting endnotes on one or mo
re separate\nWriter pages at the end of the document\, as opposed to footn
otes\, which appear\non the same page as the anchor itself. Word has a thi
rd mode: continuous\nendnotes appear directly at the end of the body text\
, inline. This case was\nnot supported for Writer for a long time\, then a
first version was added in\n2019. While this version did work for simple
 cases\, it had trouble with\nscaling to multi-page endnotes. This year's s

DESCRIPTION:The graphical programming of embedded software is usually very
closely tied to specific tools. Once you have chosen one tool\, it is diff
icult to switch to another\, and it is also difficult to exchange ideas wi
th other people using a different tool\, and it is also difficult to maint
ain software after many years. In contrast\, you can use any text editor t
o edit source code programs\, you just need to have the right compiler too
ls\, which are often readily available.\nTo work in the same way for graph
ical programming\, I have developed a translator and drawing functionality
approach that uses LibreOffice draw. The tool reads the content.xml and t
ranslates it into a suitable target language (usually C/++).
