After 20 years from last professional usage of MS Word, I've been asked to use it again. I've profited to make some comparison in terms of usability, features and performances.
This experience has been very useful to also understand troubles encountered by migrating users and I'll try to reuse it to better address the future training I'll teach.
I'll bring some (rough) metrics to estimate time wasted to learn Word's UI (looking for the same features, often via web search), and time saved because of its better performances.10
