The ability to save solver settings to the file was recently added to LibreOffice Calc 7.6 along with some interoperability with MS Excel solver models. In this talk, I'll discuss how this feature was implemented and discuss further improvements to the solver in Calc.
I work as a Professor at the Federal University of Technology - Paraná (Brazil) at the Department of Industrial Engineering. My main areas of research include optimization and data science. I started contributing to LibreOffice in 2020 and since then I have been involved in the areas of documentation, scripting and development.
