MCGR - MultiColorGradients in LibreOffice
2023-09-22, 15:00–15:30 (Europe/Bucharest), Room 1

LibreOffice 7.6 has a new feature called "Multi-color gradients" (MCGR) which I now had the chance to implement. The talk is about the basic changes in the core which make that work and what you can do using it.

It is in principle the implementation of the Tender 'Multi-color gradient' (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/Budget2021#Multi-color_gradient) which I filed long time ago, knowing that this would be urgently necessary for multiple reasons - from being up-to-date to compatibility. The core features are complete, while a specialized UI still needs to be added (all current Gradient manipulations work). I will present the necessary core changes and their implementation. I also want to talk about all the cases where this now can be used and makes LO better.
